The greatest gift I’ve ever gotten in life was the chance to become a mother. Circumstances forced me to become a single mother and throughout the course of a year the baby weight didn’t fall off and I couldn’t use the “I just had a baby excuse anymore. I tried heavy exercising, that was a funny 2 days, I tried diets, that was a hard 2 days, and I looked online and tried whatever new pill or 10-day diet other people were trying. I became the Monday girl, the girl who always says, I’ll  start my diet on Monday”, but after 4 Mondays I gave up. I have always been WWE obsessed.  I followed all the WWE Divas but one day I saw Rosa post a pic of her full body, and I was in awe because she just had a baby like 5 minutes ago and she looked amazing. She tagged Totally Fit Mama and Courtney so I reached out to them. Within an hour I got an email back and that was the day Courtney and Rosa changed my life. A few lucky ladies, mom and non-moms, had the opportunity to feel good again. We got sent the meal plans to try, which were so easy to stick to. I never felt hungry and I never felt deprived. And within 5 weeks I felt a difference in my body. Even family members and coworkers started to ask if I was losing weight. I felt and I feel amazing. Before Totally Fit Mama,  I was sad and depressed about how I looked and how I felt. It was to the point where I didn’t even care what I had on or if I wore make up.  But 5 weeks after Totally Fit Mama,  I felt beautiful. I felt like I had energy, my skin was glowing, my body was shrinking and I couldn’t believe it because I wasn’t exercising hard but still doing stroller walks. I wasn’t dieting. I was just eating better. This isn’t a diet this is a lifestyle change.  I will forever be grateful to Courtney and Rosa for changing my life. Without them I wouldn’t be this Alyssa who I am in love with today. I will forever be a Totally Fit Mama.

IMG_3924I’ve always lived a healthy life style, mainly attributed to when my brother was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes (I was 4). Carbs, sweets, fats, and salts were very limited in my mother’s daily cuisine. I also maintained this healthy lifestyle while pregnant and only gained 15lbs of baby fat. I assumed that after the baby, the weight would simply melt off and when it didn’t, I absolutely felt lost and stressed. I realized then, my body was no longer in its 20’s where I magically lost weight over night. Now in my 30’s and 3 months postpartum, I came across TotallyFitMama. Honestly, I was hesitant at first to join because I have never believed in diets or in weight loss programs because they seemed so yo-yo and a big percentage of people gain the weight back as soon as they eat real food again, but I had nothing to lose. Then the baby arrived and it wasnt as easy to get back on track as I thought it would. My pregnancy bad habits were carrying over into my new life. Trying to get into a routine, diet and take care of a newborn wasnt as easy as I thought it would be. I wasnt giving myself or my baby ( breastfeeding) the nutrients we deserved. I knew that what I was putting into my body was essentially what mattered to us so this is what I needed to focus on.  Then I met Courtney and Milena. They needed brand ambassadors for Totally Fit Mama. The ladies included moms, new moms such as myself, non moms, ladies with food allergies, vegetarians to name a few. I personally do not eat gluten or dairy and they told me I had no problem fitting into the program. So I decided to take the plunge. Courtney and Milena explained you do not need to count calories on this program. Bonus! They will be providing a grocery list, recipes and support each week. WHAT?!!! I don’t even need to make a grocery list??!  I was so excited to be on board and be apart of their journey. 6 weeks later I am more excited than I was when I agreed to be an ambassador. The food is not only easy to make but tastes fantastic! I do not feel like I am on a diet. I do not restrict calories. I eat when I am hungry and eat till I am full. I have so much more energy, feel great and I am seeing progress. I am thankful for Courtney and Milena for creating such an awesome program. Totally fit mama gives me the tools I need to reach my goals, be happier and healthier.
